We are seeking a Sr. Manager for Global Procurement’s Meetings & Events (M&E) reporting to the Director, Global Procurement of the Credit Card, Fleet, Meetings & Events, and Travel categories. This leader is responsible for strategic oversight of the global meetings & events needs and lead the end-to-end meetings integration and build/enhance partner and vendor alignment

A typical day might include the following :

• Accountable for supporting the definition and implementation of the Category strategy serving our global and regional business.

• Works closely with team members to manage discussions related to the Categories and aligns priorities with Procurement management and collaborators.

• Manages negotiations, supplier management activities, and category engagement activities.

• Takes direction to drive value in terms of cost savings, cash flow improvement, and other efficiency savings from category management activities.

• Represents Global Procurement in organizational decisions with critical short and long-term impact on the success, efficiency, growth, and results.

• Demonstrates knowledge of efficient global procurement organizations and processes within the biopharmaceutical industry to supporting our growth and evolution while using this knowledge to drive improvements.

• Manages category activities to ensure compliance with appropriate GxPs and other applicable regulations, as applicable.

• Negotiates contract terms and conditions in consultation with Law department aligned with our priorities and business requirements.

• May, either directly or through a matrix structure, manage team of professional level employees responsible for performing category management tasks (if applicable.)

• Uses data to drive decision-making for successful category projects.

• Provide insight and knowledge regarding rates, unit costs, and costing structures to enable optimal negotiations.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study or a minimum of twenty (20) years relevant, progressive experience in Meetings & Events procurement and ten (10) experience in Pharma/BioPharma. Experience successfully managing multiple category processes, and suppliers.

Experienced operating with integrity, focus, and clarity in an environment of ambiguity to drive change and improvement.

Demonstrated success supporting global supply market evaluation processes using market intelligence, risk, compliance, and financial assessment tools.

Working knowledge with sourcing contracting tools, ERP’s, and eRFx systems preferred. (Oracle, Zycus, GEP, Ariba, Other)

$129,800.00 - $211,800.00
