We are looking for an Asset Management Specialist to join our team. The scope of this role includes, but is not limited to, tracking and issuance of lab asset service agreements and lab asset reservation creation and access permissions. This role is data driven and requires attention to detail, collaboration, negotiation and working closely with procurement, vendors and end users in the R&pD laboratories via email, phone call and excel.

As an Asset Management Specialist, A typical day might include:

• Laboratory Equipment Service Agreements: Manage requests for service from point of request through ordering process. Understand Agreement types and manage new requests and renewals with analysis and data to support or oppose coverage needs. Lead negotiation efforts with vendor to ensure coverage is optimal for the business needs

• Coordinate and follow up with cross functional teams and vendor to ensure agreements are in place prior to lapse in coverage

• Effectively communicate the needs of the end users and options available from vendor for approvals

• Efficiency in data entry of service agreement and order processing

• Laboratory Equipment Asset Creation and Reservations: Create and/or modify new assets in the reservation tool with IT support. Provide permissions when requested to assets and train end users on the process

• Additional ad-hoc inquiries/projects such as: Data entry and analysis to improve reporting tools, Team workflow review, improve documentation, identifying process improvements, coordinating meetings for escalations

To be considered for this role, you must have a BS degree and 3-5 years of experience working in a business environment. We are seeking Knowledge of research and process development Lab Equipment. Additionally, working knowledge of Lab Equipment service contracts/warranties and databases/IWMS. Ability to analyze volumes of data across different reports and problem solving skills. Database familiarity (ability to work in multiple databases and pick-up on database learning easily). Experience with negotiation and thrive working in a detail oriented and data driven environment.
